Getting to 3458 18th Street

Free 2 hour street parking is located on nearby streets to the west of Valencia, an hour on Lexington and San Carlos streets, and one-hour meters are everywhere else including right out front – just be sure to avoid the ones on the same side as the store weekdays from 4-6pm for street cleaning. A UCSF parking lot is located 3 blocks away at 17th and Folsom Streets (enter at 295 Shotwell) at $1.50 per hour.

From the East Bay
Enter San Francisco on the Bay Bridge / Highway 880. Once you cross the bridge, continue along the highway and follow signs for Mission Street. Take the ramp towards “Mission St. / Highway 101″. Remain to the left as you come to the Mission St. exit. At the exit stay in the left hand lane and follow signs towards Duboce Street. At the bottom of the off ramp there is a stop light. Proceed straight through the light and get in the left hand lane. The next stop light make a left-hand turn onto Valencia Street. Go five stoplights down Valencia then make a left onto 18th Street for one block to Lexington Street.

From the South on the 280
Exit at San Jose Avenue. Stay on San Jose Avenue until it becomes Guerrero Street. Follow Guerrero to 18th Street, turn right past Valencia Street for one block to Lexington Street.

From the South on the 101
Exit at Cesar Chavez. Take Cesar Chavez west to Valencia Street. Turn right onto Valencia and continue until 18th Street. Turn right on 18th Street for one block to Lexington Street.

From the North Bay
Go south on Highway 101 across the Golden Gate bridge into San Francisco. After getting off the bridge go to the second exit which will be Lombard Street. From Lombard, go 10 blocks and turn right onto Gough Street. Continue until reaching Market Street. Turn right onto Market street and then left onto Valencia Street. Follow Valencia Street then make a left onto 18th Street for one block to Lexington Street.

Via BART
Exit at the 16th Street BART, walk one block west to Valencia Street, turn right and and walk 2 blocks south to 18th Street.

Via Muni
The 14 Mission is less than a block away and runs right down Mission Street from the north and south, the 49 Van Ness comes down to Mission Street from Van Ness near Fisherman’s Wharf, the 26 Valencia eases down Valencia Avenue from downtown, the 22 Fillmore comes in from the north and runs east-west across 16th Street, the 33 Stanyan runs right along 18th Street from Laurel Heights and the Upper Haight, the 12 Folsom stops 2 blocks away coming down from Pacific Heights and Chinatown. The J Church streetcar runs from downtown through the nearby Castro, Dolores Park, and Noe Valley neighborhoods, and the stop at 18th Street puts you within 4 blocks.
